Under that law, euthanasia is qualified as \u00a0\u00a0\u201cend-of-life care\u201d. This procedure is called \u201cmedical aid in dying\u201d but is actually euthanasia.<\/p>\n<p>If you have ever been sick, you know how vulnerable you feel when you have uncontrolled pain or other symptoms. You have experienced fears for the future and felt that you were alone or a burden for those you love. You might even have thought you would be better off dead.<\/p>\n<p>This law puts everyone at risk. It is contrary to Canada\u2019s Criminal Code, which forbids all killing, even with the consent of the person. For that reason the citizen\u2019s network Living with Dignity and the Physicians\u2019 Alliance against Euthanasia are challenging before the courts those provisions \u00a0of this law that are aimed at decriminalizing euthanasia\u00a0 as \u201cmedical aid in dying\u201d.<\/p>\n<h2>Contribute to our legal fund<\/h2>\n<p>Court proceedings are very expensive.
