In the video, she discusses the so-called democratic process that led to Bill 52. She qualifies the process as being \"tainted\".<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Note: Video in French.<\/p>\n<div class=\"video-main\">\n\t<div class=\"video-frame\"> <iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/X_RSkbOk5bc\" title=\"\" width=\"572\" height=\"312\"><\/iframe> <\/div><!-- END video-frame -->\n<\/div><!-- END video-main -->\n<p>The video discusses the Special Commission on Dying with Dignity that visited 8 cities, consulted 90 groups, received 231 briefs, and cost nearly one million dollars.<\/p>\n<p>Mrs Couture notes, <a href=\"\/en\/2014\/04\/no-consensus-on-euthanasia-in-quebec\/\">as we did in a recent blog post<\/a>, that there is no consensus.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>False consensus based entirely on public opinion polls and confusion of terms.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The video also gives the results of an analysis of the public hearings:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>99% IN FAVOUR of palliative care<\/li>\n<li>60% AGAINST euthanasia<\/li>\n<li>34% IN FAVOUR of euthanasia<\/li>\n<li>2% AGAINST assisted suicide<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Commission's report doesn't reflect the testimony heard during the 29 days of public hearings.
