Already, figures far exceed those forecasted (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.cbc.ca\/news\/canada\/montreal\/166-quebeckers-doctor-assisted-death-1.3668500\">&gt;&gt;<\/a>). Unfortunately, supporters of induced death continue to ignore the warning signs and even go so far as to militate against any attempt to moderate this skyrocketing assisted suicide.<\/p>\n<p>Thus, instead of denouncing the fact that <u>all requests for euthanasia (26!) were accepted at the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire de Qu\u00e9bec<\/u> (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ledevoir.com\/societe\/sante\/473980\/aide-mourir-le-tiers-des-demandes-sont-refusees\">&gt;&gt;<\/a>) the <em>Users and Inpatients Committee <\/em>is concerned about requests that have not been fulfilled in some institutions, particularly in the cases of official scapegoats, the CHUM and the MUHC (<a href=\"http:\/\/montrealgazette.com\/news\/quebec\/muhcs-assisted-death-policy-repealed-barrette\">&gt;&gt;<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>In the same vein, having wanted to \"<em>put down the refractory CHUM<\/em>\" last month (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ledevoir.com\/societe\/sante\/474435\/obstruction-des-medecins-dans-l-aide-a-mourir\">&gt;&gt;<\/a>), the Minister of Health, Ga\u00e9tan Barrette reoffended again. This time, he attacked the MUHC to force them to euthanize patients in their palliative care unit (<a href=\"http:\/\/montrealgazette.com\/news\/quebec\/barrette-chastises-muhc-administration-over-policy-not-to-provide-medically-assisted-death\">&gt;&gt;<\/a>), despite the fact that this gesture is against the ethics and philosophy of palliative care as recognized worldwide.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, V\u00e9ronique Hivon was shocked at the new ministerial directives (<a href=\"http:\/\/montrealgazette.com\/news\/local-news\/hivon-accuses-liberal-government-of-tampering-with-end-of-life-law\">&gt;&gt;<\/a>) adopted to make the practice of euthanasia in Quebec in line with federal law (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.cbc.ca\/news\/canada\/montreal\/quebec-federal-assisted-death-10-day-delay-1.3683799\">&gt;&gt;<\/a>). Thus, for the Parti Qu\u00e9b\u00e9cois MP, a 10-day reflection period, the validation of the application by two independent witnesses and the exclusion of testamentary beneficiaries of the application process is \"the end of the world\" (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.lapresse.ca\/actualites\/sante\/201607\/18\/01-5002136-barrette-et-hivon-saffrontent-sur-les-directives-pour-laide-a-mourir.php\">&gt;&gt;<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>Above this free-for-all, <em>Living with Dignity<\/em> continues its work of information and continuing to develop support initiatives for people who are facing the ordeal of illness. of transferring them to a different unit or hospital (<a href=\"http:\/\/globalnews.ca\/news\/2794889\/quebec-health-minister-tells-muhc-to-offer-doctor-assisted-death-to-palliative-patients\/\">&gt;&gt;<\/a>).<\/li>\n<li><strong>July 7, 2016:<\/strong> Six month after the law regarding end-of-life care came into effect, publicly-released data shows that requests for euthanasia exceeded estimates and that the 166 people euthanized in Quebec represents about twice the amount that experts anticipated (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.cbc.ca\/news\/canada\/montreal\/166-quebeckers-doctor-assisted-death-1.3668500\">&gt;&gt;<\/a>).<\/li>\n<li><strong>July 13, 2016: <\/strong>A doctor from Montreal files a lawsuit before the Supreme Court of Quebec to contest the Quebec law that legalized assisted suicide (<a href=\"http:\/\/globalnews.ca\/news\/2822984\/montreal-doctor-fighting-assisted-dying-law-in-quebec\/\">&gt;&gt;<\/a>).<\/li>\n<li><strong>July 18, 2016: <\/strong>The Quebec government adopts new ministerial directives (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.newswire.ca\/fr\/news-releases\/delai-de-10-jours-pour-laide-medicale-a-mourir---les-nouvelles-directives-doivent-etre-annulees-587649781.html\">&gt;&gt;<\/a>) to make the practice of euthanasia in Quebec in line with federal law (<a href=\"https:\/\/fr.scribd.com\/document\/318578813\/Lettre-envoyee-le-13-juillet#download&amp;from_embed\">&gt;&gt;<\/a>).<\/li>\n<li><strong>July
