As soon as the Special Joint Committee on Medical Assistance in Dying (AMAD; Senate and House of Commons of Canada) began its work, we intervened in the public arena by means of this press release.
Since then, we have been closely following the progress of this work via our Facebook and Twitter pages with the keyword #AMAD.
The Committee is currently looking at “issues related to mature minors, advance directives, mental illness, the state of palliative care in Canada and the protection of Canadians with disabilities”.
